transition issues

I have edit 4 HD video clip and placed them on the timeline. I've inserted transition, but each transition shows a jerky transition vis smooth. I'm new at this and can not figure out my issue. Can some make a recommendation.

Prerender your transitions. Instructions are in Vegas help.

I went to my VMS HDP 10 help, there is only cross-fade info. Where else can I find the prerender you indicated?

See again VMS HD 10 Help and Seach: prerender. Read the advice you get, then try Tools menu.

Thank you for your feedback, now I understand where to find information. If my files a Mp4 and I'm going to "Render As" to internet, what should I prerender sa: .avi or avc/aac? What template should I use?
