Trying To Reinstall Vegas Pro 14

Link-Sketchit wrote on 3/13/2021, 8:46 AM

Hello. I recently had my computer formatted and am trying to reinstall Sony Vegas Pro Version 14. I tried to install the software with the CD i bought for it a few years ago on amazon but it said the serial number was already used.

I then tried to download the program on magix website but it says Serial number already used as well and only shows music maker when I check for products purchased/registered.

I'm wondering how I am supposed to be able to reinstall the Sony Vegas Pro 14 if I keep getting this message, and not showing under products purchased.

Goto your account at Magix and than to your software.
Deactivate it for the hardware listed there, now your license is available again for a new install

When I go to My Products, it's only showing Sound Forge Audio Studio 10.0

And attached is a screenshot of when I try entering the serial number from the box.

If you used a different email address when you initially registered Vegas, that would be a reason you do not see it.

Apparently that was exactly what happened. I used my older email address when I registered Vegas. Thanks a lot for the idea!

@ANGELO-ABAD you'll need to contact Magix and they can help you locate what e-mail address you previously used and possibly move it to the e-mail address you want to use today.

@ANGELO-ABAD  ... if you haven't done so already - and only as a suggestion - it's a good idea IMO to have a database whether it be a spreadsheet or similar that lists your products/services/providers itemising email addresses and passwords. Given the huge range of companies we need online access to these days, for me a database is essential and has been for well over a decade. And hopefully that database can be password protected.
