John-Marshall wrote on 2/13/2020, 1:30 AM

This is a follow up to a error I had yesterday. After trying to find a resolution i'm now at the point where I can't even open Vegas Pro 17 suite, or any magix download having tried 16 and 15 too.

Now just getting this!!

Really need this sorting asap as have a deadline to get a video out by tomorow.

Any help would be most greatful

Thanks

John

See if this might help. From Ask Support articles:

"I get the error message "Could not connect to the internet", but I can still connect to the internet with my browser."

Notification: "Could not connect to the Internet"

for now try turning windows firewall off . in windows search bar type firewall status , then if private and public are both on turn off (for now) . I just checked and mine are both turned on, even though I turned them off as I use a 3rd party firewall. But windows firewall has not caused me problem yet, it still could though, vegas gives certification errors after an interval of some time, i don't know that interval, maybe a couple of weeks

Hi,

Problem resolved, ive had to download a new update of win 10, luckily not had to completely restore the pc!

Basically put usb in and get full update of system.

I'm thinking it was registry/system issues as not just vegas that was faulty but other programs like my driver download etc, all seems ok now so i can get back to work.

Really weird how it just stopped working, so i guess if this happens to anyone else your first stop should be updating your windows system, which will replace all files either corrupt or not with new clean versions.

Thanks for your help
