I need to do this because I want to get rid of the pesky popup to upgrade to Vegas 20 each time I open my Vegas 19. I do not want 20. I want to stay with 19 but I have no idea how to go about this.
If that invitation pops up because you have a 365 subscription number it will not help you. Solutions: use another reg. number for 19 or ignore the invitation to upgrade
There's something unfair about this solution. I don't have another subscription number (why would I have one anyway?) And the other solution which just amounts to: "so just live with it" is not a solution, it's an insult. Are you really saying that MAGIX has no intention to fix this malfunction of the software that is caused by some negligence on their part? This is not happening for the first time either.
j-v Truth told, I don't know what I use. I get a notice there's an upgrade and I download it and enter my long number to register the new upgrade. Therefore I attempted to download "There's a new update to 19" and get burned. Somewhere someone wrote that the upgrade to 19 is 20. Well that's malarkey. An upgrade is a new and improved Vegas 19. 20 is a different kind of product.
That's beyond my capacity. Between what is Magix and what Vegas I am lost and I'm guessing that j-v knows this about me and he's right: Live with it. I'm not a computer programmer I draw pictures for a living and I've been getting away with doing that for 64 years. It's a shame though and I have nothing more to say on this sad topic.
