I'm not sure what you mean by "where", but I'm live in Japan, and 
downloading it at home, where I can use the internet confortably for e.g. 
downloading and installing adobe premiere... 

I'm also in Japan and it downloads reasonably fast if you use the links from the forum or your Magix account page. Within Vegas it times out sometimes.

To be precise, I can download the installer vp16edit_dlm.exe from the site reasonably fast, but it's just a downloader of the software itself. And the download of the software itself is unbearably slow.

in the previous message, I myself cannot choose the download site 
because the downloader vp16edit_dlm.exe automatically chooses it.

I tried a short while ago to download my 16 Edit and I can confirm that it goes very slow. Average velocity is about 1MB per second. I have a very fast internet connection.
Edit, I tried also to download trough Edge as browser, that went also much to slow, but 2 times faster than with Google, i.c. 2MB /s

I see, so you are downloading the DLM from your account. Even just doing that with a fast connection is slow, I agree.

I was afraid of that. I tried to find a direct link on the forums. While they exist for VP 18 the last build of 16 just says to use the download manager.

Thanx vkmast, I didn't noticed the link. As you suggested, with chrome I got no response, and with edge the download was started but it's also slow (almost stopping).

But after start talking in this forum, the download with the dlm file was speeded up a little bit. I don't know why, but finally I successfully downloaded all files.

The correct number should be in the notification email that you received after purchasing.

I'm sure it's the correct number. Actually, the green check turns in the authentication window. But when I push activation button, the authentication fails. I tried to install and activate older binary of vegas pro 16, so maybe that's the reason.

Mind that you have to use the same email as before.
