Upgrading from Vegas Movie Studio HD 9 to 11?

Hi. I currently own Vegas MS HD 9, and am wondering whether I should upgrade to the current version, 11.

If I upgrade I would probably go for Vegas Platinum HD or Platinum Suite HD.

I am wondering - what is the difference between 9 and 11 versions and the difference between Movie Studio HD, Platinum HD and Platinum Suite HD.

Thanks in advance.

You can read the Release notes for What's new in versions 10 and 11. See

For extra features in v.11 Plat Prod Suite, see

Thanks for that. The release notes didn't really help much, but the comparison gave me an idea of the versions.

If you could - please tell me the difference between Vegas 9 and 11 versions - features, bug fixes and anything; and whether Vegas 12 will be coming out or if it is a long way off.

Personally, I don't have v.9, but the bug fixes/changes and new features are actually listed in those release notes. Have you checked the product pages on SCS site for information?
Anybody's guess when the upgrade version 12 comes out, probably within a year or so.

Thanks. I don't think I'll upgrade just yet, as there aren't any new features I desperately need. I will probably upgrade to Vegas Platinum /Platinum Suite 12, if the features are better, when it comes out.

Thanks :-)

The biggest difference from 9 is that you get more video and audio tracks to work with. V9 allowed 4 or 5 video/audio tracks each but starting with v10, you get 10 of each. New versions typically are released in the June(ish) timeframe.
