Upload to YouTube wont work?

I can use the upload to YouTube feature for like 4,5 minute clips- it works fine. But when I try to upload a huge file, like 45 minutes or so, it does the entire uploading process then I get an "Error" message saying that an error has occurred and it wont let me upload my video. What can I do to upload an entire episode of a TV show to YouTube from Vegas? And please don't suggest uploading from my desktop through YouTube- it takes tons and tons of hours that I don't have and it just sits and doesn't go anywhere. Thank You for any help in advance! :)

Well, we don't even know your Vegas version, so it's impossible to say.
Youtube changes its APIs all the time. The latest version of Movie Studio (13) has it working for some people.
With older versions, it might not work at all.

I strongly recommend you use Youtube to upload your videos.

In the meantime, searching these forums will produce some suggestions for troubleshooting Vegas' uploader, which is vulnerable to any of Youtube's whims, and which I consider to be more of a soccer mom feature.

Uploading to YouTube from your web browser should be just as fast as uploading from inside Vegas. I've uploaded several 15-20 minute videos for a local publishing company and even on my old cable line it usually takes less than 10 minutes. If it's taking horrendously long you should examine your web browser for any malicious plugins or helpers that may be interfering. Particularly suspect are any download managers or accelerators, all of which actually slow down the processes while reporting back to the 'mother ship' everything you're doing online.

YouTube's processing of the video after the upload can take a while, but that will happen no matter how you upload it.

As mentioned in some earlier threads, Google regards Movie Studio (and Vegas Pro) as "a less secure app". I just (re-)tested the Upload to YouTube option, while the setting was to "Allow a less secure app" in Google and was able to upload from Movie Studio Platinum vs. 10 to 13 and Vegas Pro 13. I did not test VPro vs.10 to 12.
As musicvid10 suggests, YMMV though.
Anyway, I very much agree with him and Chienworks on using YouTube to upload.
