Upscale works fine on my desktop (specs in signature) but I end up with the same ModelNotFoundMessage problem on my laptop if either the preset is moved from 'default' or the model is moved from 'Smooth'.
Two possibilities causing the problem could be: 1/ the laptop is using an internal GPU; or 2/ the desktop is Windows 10 but the laptop is Windows 11 - and Vegas Pro 19 does not as yet officially support W11.
A very good question. My guess is that W11 support will occur with an update at some time. Some problems like the one that you've identified may or may not be directly related to Windows 11 which no doubt the Vegas team will investigate - the forum will be helpful in this regard, but it's almost like they need a team of beta testers for W11 compatibility as well.
@VEGASPascal ... thank you - that did the trick. I had Models 19.0.0.0 installed on the laptop. After installing 19.1.0.0 (as is on the desktop) all now works well with Upscale on the laptop.
Where can you see which model version is installed?
In Windows 11, the entries in Apps & Features show the build number as part of the default listings. In Windows 10, the build number doesn't display by default but clicking on an individual entry expands the entry and shows the build number.
The official VEGAS 19 setup and download manager would install VP19 and the deep learning models. VP19 would always keep them up-to-date (update message box... if something is changed).
Ok, all fixed, I took the advice of VegasPascal and downloaded the Deep Learning Modual again. The funny thing is the same on my account download was Not up to date.
Interesting wonder if this is deliberate on Magix's part.

Do you honestly believe that there is a company that deliberately wants to mislead you? If there is a problem, I believe there is a mistake. And mistakes happen. To all of us. Instead, let's rejoice that we found the mistake. We have become a little wiser than yesterday.😀
No my friend, you have read me wrong, what I was meaning was:
As Magix is not going to have incremental newer versions, with I think three, free updates between the feature updates (that must be paid for) then any version you have purchased may not include the newer updates.
I hope you will see where I am coming from and that I have not confused you more.
