Possibly but I'm not sure. But VMS10 is very old and may not handle modern video file formats. What source material are you considering using with it?

@David-Wheat you might contact infoservice@magix.net or ask at Online Live Chat

("Please visit https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/support/ between 12:00 and 4:00 Central (currently GMT-6) Monday through Friday and use the chat widget in the lower-right-hand corner to chat directly with a support rep.")

This thread discusses the process with MAGIX VEGAS products. I think it's basically the same with old SCS products. Advice on how to contact Support is here.

But as @EricLNZ says, it might be better to consider obtaining a newer version (not the Movie Studio 18 or 2022 though or any of the basic versions that are not Platinum), if your computer meets the requirements. Note that if the version you consider now is not MS Platinum, it's very basic/restricted..

Thanks Eric -- I'm a songwriter and I want to record good quailty videos of my guitar & voice performances. On the visual side, I'd like to do some green screen processing but not a lot else. On the audio side, some eq, compression and reverb. Export to MP4. So these would be quite modest productions that I'm assuming VMS10 could easilly handle. I have found people online who say that they have been able to run VSM10 on Windows 10 with no problems, but I'm open to later versions if need be.

Thanks vk -- I'll get in contact as you suggest. As I said to Eric, my productions would be seem to be pretty modest relative to the full potential of the Vegas software, which is the VMS10 HD Platinum version. And if it does work for me, that would be the simplest and least expensive option.

Just discovered that the Movie Studio 11 HD Platinum is availble to buy new for £25. And users are saying that it will run fine on Windows 10.

@David-Wheat Where will your source files be coming from. Video camera? What type of files?

vkmast wrote on 12/9/2021, 5:35 AM

Be sure to confirm that it's a legit copy from a reliable seller, not a cracked/pirated version.

I have a Razer Kiyo Pro webcam -- not sure about type of files, but I'm thinking of 1080 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio and 30 fps

Unless your computer is very dated with early Intel specs (even though it runs Windows 10) - I don't understand how updating from MSP10 (11.5 years old) to MSP11 (10.5 years old) is going to make much of a difference in the 2020s. If you have a reasonably modern computer, consider looking on reputable websites for a more recent version of Movie Studio Platinum up to and including version 17 (the last ever release of Vegas Movie Studio).
