Using Select/Slideshow

In Movie Studio 16, why does the option Select/Slideshow put all the photos by default into the Text Track of the Timeline? Shouldn't they end up in the Video Track of the Timeline?
Please help me understand this.

It doesn't matter as all tracks are the same, just labelled differently for your 'convenience'. They possibly go to your Text track because it's the current one selected, and it's possibly the one selected as it was the selected track when you last shut VMS down? But I'm only guessing.

As Eric says. Basically there are only two kinds of tracks, Video and Audio. Note that you can right-click on the "Text" (or similar) box and get the option to Rename.
