Using Vegas Movie Studio 9.0 with Windows 7

I have been using Vegas Movie Studio PE 9.0 with Windows XP with no problem for years. I’m trying to use it now on a different computer using Windows 7. Because I don’t use this computer on the internet I went through the registration process using a different computer. I received an authentication code and thle program opens but when I try to do anything I get a “program not responding” error.

I don't know that there's a solution for you, Curtis. You're using a ten year old piece of software created by a company that has since abandoned the entire software line on a ten old operating system without an internet connection. That's a lot to work around.

If you really want to use your old software, I guess you could note this: "Older versions than 14.0 are licensed under a system (as previously used by Sony) which permits use on multiple computers by one user; after an unspecified number of installations on different or updated PCs you may need to contact support to reset your "installation count"."

OTOH, you could search online if a reliable online third-party supplier (such as amazon) still has a newer and more capable version available. Versions up to #15 should work OK in Windows 7 OS.
