VASST Plug-ins in Vegas Pro 13

I recently purchased Vegas Pro 13 and have a number of VASST Plug-ins that work beautifully in Movie Studio 12 and 13. I would like to install them in Pro, but so far I have not figured out a way to get them to install.

I first tried to simply run the install program again. Then I tried to Uninstall and re-install. In neither case would they show up in Pro 13, although the continue to work in Movie Studio.

Will VASST Plug-ins not work in Pro 13? Is there some special install step I am missing? Do I need to re-purchase special versions?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the link, VK. Unfortunately, no luck so far. I must be the only one having this problem. Uninstalling and re-installing everything, even as administrator, doesn't seem to make a difference. At least the plug-ins still work in Movie Studio.

After installing, for instance UltimatteS, you then have to find it under View/Extensions and the window that then opens can be dragged and docked using Ctrl.

another thread that may or may not help you.
It seems you're not the only one to have had this problem with VPro 13.

And as finding it in View > Extensions is the same in Movie Studios, I assume(d) you knew that.

Hi Jillian,

Where are you looking in Vegas Pro for the Plug-ins?

They should be under View | Extensions

They are not under Edit | Extensions or Tools | Extensions... only View | Extensions.

If you initially installed the plug-ins before you had Vegas Pro, you will need to re-install them because when you initially ran the installer, it only installs the extensions under the versions of Movie Studio or Vegas Pro that it finds at that time. If you added Vegas Pro after instilling for Movie Studio you will have to re-install.

Also, make sure that you have the latest installer. Installers that were created prior to the release of Vegas Pro 13 will not find Vegas Pro 13. If you already have Movie Studio, the installer will not give you an error because it found a viable product (i.e., Movie Studio) to install under. We do not increment the version number simply to add another version of Vegas to the installer so re-download the installer even if the versions numbers are the same.

You can get the latest installers for most VASST plug-ins from the (download) page of the VASST Software web site.

Thank you very much. I downloaded the updated versions and my VASST Plug-ins are now installed and operational in both Movie Studio and Vegas Pro. I find the plug-ins very useful and well worth the small amount they cost.

I also deeply appreciate all of the helpful information I have gleaned from your posts over the years. I'm sorry you've mostly moved over to the Mac. since you're such a valuable source of support, but understand why you did it.
