Vegas 11 crashes on close with Error Reporting

I have the latest build 425 yet SVP 11 64bit crashes everytime I close the app. Thankfully, project files are saved with no problems, but any preferences and/or properties will not save. The error reporting screen comes up and I always "send" the crash info to Sony.

I have SVP 9.0e 64bit on the same machine with no problems. I've updated my video card, my soundcard and my display drivers. I also have NB Pro titler, latest build, installed which will sometimes cause a crash during operation. I've reinstalled SVP11 twice and have recently uninstalled SVP 9 and Quicktime just in case there were conflicts. No help. Same crashing. I don't know what else to do and Sony has not responded to my trouble ticket.

Did you reinstall the same original file or did you get a new download?

This build has crashed when exiting the program for me, too (did not happen with the original build).

FYI, I always close and restart Vegas after changing Preferences to avoid losing them when the program crashes.

It happens occasionally to me as well. And did in v.10, too.

The last time it happened just a few days ago, so I wrote in the window to describe what happened that of course it exited since that was precisely what I asked it to do. I suggest you do the same, as that will help them figure out why it is happening.

It has crashed for me in both the original build and the latest build. I had this same thing happen in version 9 and once I removed Quicktime, the crashes stopped. No such luck with SVP11. There's nothing I can do to fix it... Ugh.

Tech support finally got back to me and said to uninstall GOM player, if it is on my PC, as a troubleshooting step. I've never heard of this player, but if anybody else has this installed, you might try to uninstall it and see if the crashing stops.

Just an update. I've installed 32bit SVP11 along side of 64-bit. It crashes on closing too. Once SVP11a comes out, I will go through the process of unistalling all my Sony programs and doing a clean install to see if that fixes it. Not looking forward to that...
