I have attempted to achieve the above resetting, however, Does not seam to work, the mentioned window does not appear. I am holding down both Shift & control while double clicking task bar icon, continuing to hold down both Ctrl and shift until program opens.

"Press CTRL+SHIFT on your keyboard while double-clicking the program's shortcut icon on the desktop to launch it"

You still did not gave the MediaInfo following that blue link I gave you in the 4th post.

Thanks for the Info, but I cannot find anything that could be wrong.
I used the same kind of files of my GOPro 7 in a project with VMS PL 16.
It edited and played well, playing without proxies at Preview Full, look

Nothing wrong with the program, the only thing that could be the reason for your problems is that you made somewhere (maybe subconscious) a change in settings, that only can be restored by resetting the program as adviced earlier.
