Only FYI
I didn't get anything - not even in the spam folder. And I have not deselected Newsfeed.

Does anyone know whether the NewBlue TotalFX is a lifetime (perpetual) license? I tried emailing sales@magix.net previously but haven't heard back yet.

I don't want to make the same mistake I made with a previous bundle where the bundled item only had a 2 year license: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/don-t-make-the-same-mistake-as-me-with-the-vegas-mercalli-suite-bundle--133792/

jetdv wrote on 12/6/2022, 4:32 PM

My understanding is that it is supposed to be perpetual.

I bought it. The NewBlue TotalFX license seems to be perpetual! :)

Hi there, I am getting this offer when I launch my copy of Vegas 18, but the offer only seems to be for USA customers? When I click on my EU store, it only says VEGAS Edit 20 upgrade but at the €119 price (not the €159 price mentioned by the OP). I'm assuming this is the standard upgrade without NewBlue TotalFX? Any help appreciated.

vkmast wrote on 12/12/2022, 1:05 AM

I'm in EU. I got the email and clicking "Learn more" a new page opens and I see this:

Version options: Edit €159 /Pro €239 /Post €339, available until Dec 13, 2022.

Karl_in_Ireland wrote on 12/12/2022, 5:01 AM

Thanks for the reply @vkmast - when I click the offer from the software (v18), it goes to the USA site and doesn't allow me to purchase because I am in the EU, but when I try at the EU site, the current offer doesn't include TotalFX from the upgrade offer of €119, at least that's what it is showing. Can you share the link to this offer?

vkmast wrote on 12/12/2022, 6:15 AM

@Karl_in_Ireland please see PM for clarifications.

Karl_in_Ireland wrote on 12/12/2022, 6:21 AM

Much appreciated @vkmast 🙂

vkmast wrote on 12/16/2022, 10:47 AM

The offer extended and now valid until Dec 26, 2022.

(Please note that this offer applies to the recipient's account, so check your email.)

Interesting. This seems to be a NewBlue TotalFX Magix edition.
However no information that I have been able to find about this or about what TotalFX includes in Magix emails or website.

Visiting the NewBlue site we find that they sell TotalFX quite expensive subscriptions $39.99/month, $299/year and a $599 perpetual license...

I paid much much much less for NBFX TFX7 than on their website. Everything works in Vegas and I get the standalone Titler Pro 7.

TotalFX gives you a ton of new effects, several new transitions, and Titler Pro 7. If you look at the NewBlue website, every effect and transition listed there is included as is Titler Pro 7.

Reyfox wrote on 12/18/2022, 7:19 AM

I have TFX7 in addition to Boris Continuum Complete. Will you use everything in it? Probably not. But then for me, even a one time use of a feature (and it has many) makes it worth it. I also use TP7 a lot myself.

It's a tool in the video editing tool chest. Some you will use a lot, others, not so much and then some, never.

I use Creative Cloud (PR, AE), but at the same time I miss the convenience of Vegas Pro. I have an old Vegas Pro 15, for an upgrade to 20 it asks for 160$  + as a gift NBTF. How is Vegas now? Departures, functionality all improved? If it's not difficult to write about the pros and cons, thank you very much!

vkmast wrote on 12/18/2022, 8:59 AM

@DBN please start a new thread if you want opinions on VEGAS Pro "pros and cons". You can also browse previous forum posts on this.

Reyfox wrote on 12/18/2022, 3:19 PM

...and.... @DBN you can download the trial version and see for yourself....

I just received mail from Magix:

Hello,

The NewBlue plugin is a lifetime license.

You will receive all updates for version 20 with your purchase. Version 21, if it is released at the end of summer, would have to be purchased again.

Best regards,
