@fr0sty Hi, here's one i'd like to know if it's fixed in V20, if not could you have a word with the team if you get chance pls

V19 - In the Video Event FX search it only finds the main fx category, it doesn't find the presets, in this video i have Continuum fxs that have BeatReactor included within them, those that have i've saved as a preset with Beat in the name. but i have to scroll down through all fxs for Vegas to then find all those Beat presets, it's as if i have to fill some kind of cache with all the presets, this cache is not saved when Vegas is closed & reopened,

Okay so I bought V20 because Trial works really good but now I regret that decision.
My projects are laggy I really often have red preview screen and then V20 freeze or I have something like in this video.

When I hit play sound is playing but cursor freeze at one place and time is not counting but when I press M to add marker cursors un-freeze for a little bit and time is updated but after a while cursor still freeze and its always like that and I don't know why...

Now I am screwed because I have many weddings to be done and I cannot done it because when I import drone footage I have red preview screen and it's just freeze without any error window - V20 is just white.

What is the point of selling unfinished product which cause many problems which wasn't showed in V17 and in trial version?

V20 is just white

As a test, disable "GPU Acceleration of Video Processing" in Preferences->Video.

If that fixes it, update your graphics driver in the Vegas Help Menu.

For further peer support, begin the process here.

Trial version and retail version are the same. Is the media the same as you used for the trial? You could try re-encoding drone footage if that's the source of the problem. I use Shutter Encoder for that. Try AVC or ProRes.

Red preview sounds like a GPU error- what's your GPU and driver version?

Installing VEGAS 20 doesn't mean you lose older versions, you can still have your older version installed alongside it, so you should still be able to edit with it.

Red screen is a GPU driver issue. Update your drivers, use the driver update utility in the VEGAS 20 help menu, it will recommend the proper driver to use and give you a link to download and install it.

Hi! I forgot to reply.

So I updated GPU drivers and it was even worse than before so I went back to older drivers and everything is fine now - LOL.

Vegas Pro's specification webpage - https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/specifications/#productMenu - shows that Vegas Pro 20 is compatible with both Windows 10 & 11 (as was the last build of Vegas Pro 19).

There's a free trial version of Vegas Pro 20 so you will be able to check out the FX menu margins on your computer.

I actually figured out how to fix the fx windows in VP17. It was that issue with the obsolete font SSerife.fon etc that newer Windows computers don't have. I'll upgrade to VP20 if they resume sending me enticing offers or have a Black Friday Sale.
