Vegas is playing everything in slow motion

I've been editing with VEGAS pro 16.0 and recently it was all fine, my computer is great and handles the CPU load fine.

But I just opened up a project that I started previously, and it's playing everything in slow motion and the audio quality sounds absolutely terrible as well. I don't understand what changed and why it's doing this... it doesn't matter what project I open up (different ones) it's doing the same thing. Is there something in the settings I need to adjust? Is this an error or a glitch that has happened to other users? Please help!!

@bellamareemusic - Nasty! Have you applied a slomo FX to the Preview Window? You’re using VP16, nothing wrong with that, but since you’ve done many many projects over the years could be time for a Factory Reset - yeah? As you say, ALL VP16 projects are doing the same, kinda points towards a need to do freshened-up VP16.

Others will have other ideas.
