Vegas Movie Studio 17 doesn't start

Hello

I purchased Vegas Movie Studio 17 Suite online, I upgraded it from Movie Studio 14. After I installed it on my laptop it never opened. I had a problem report "Movie Studio Platinum has stopped working" .

I wrote an email to the support team and one of the representatives was trying to resolve it with me, leading me through several steps to fix it. Unfortunately it didn't work, and at some point, my ticket has been closed before I gave any feedback.

Yes, maybe it took me several days to respond but I simply have many other things to do☹

I supposed to refresh my software holding down Ctrl+Shift and double click programs icon and clear cache. I do know why, but the window does not show. I was trying to do it many times, dbl clicked faster and slower. Eventually program tried to open again, but it never did. Since my ticket was already closed I am not able to contact them again. Before support team advised me to update my Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 card, but it was up to date.

Are there any ideas how to fix it? Or how to clear cache and restart software another way than this simplest one?

We can try to help you, but we are not knowing
1. Exact Windows version
2. Type and number of processor
3. Possible extra GPU, type and number
4, Buildnumber of your bought Vegas version
5. Possible extra istalled effects or so from an earlier version.
State them here , but better is to state them also in your signature, look to mine.

Thank you for resetting instructions. I did not know that I need to keep holding ctr+shift after dbl click. This time it worked, the window showed. Unfortunately after resetting program still doesn't work.

I did not install anything extra with an earlier version. Whatever is installed automatically, system was asking if I would like to keep the old version or delete it and install a new one. As far as I remember, I choose to install new for all programs. I am not sure how to check on this.

I do not know how to find out about extra GPU.

I think your laptop does not meet the specifications for this version of Vegas Movie Studio.
Needed at least a quadcore processor and yours has only 2 cores.

I wish I had that told by Vegas support team. They had my system specs and didn't say I need new laptop.
