Vegas Movie Studio -> Vegas Pro?

Hi,
I am one of those users who got a little confused after Vegas Movie Studio passed away.
There was an offer somewhere to get a Pro upgrade for € 99, but it's not clear if that includes a jump to version 19 as advertised if you buy version 18 now.
So many confusing items plus the uncertainty that Pro will die in the very near future. Is Switching to DaVinci Resolve the Better Solution?
