Vegas pro 13 does not respond. It lags after 1 minute of editing.

I have been on a vacation trip with my action camera (salora ace 500). I wanted to edit my selfmade vids on a good editor. So i chose vegas pro 13. Everything was going great till I put my vids into my timeline. The program stopped working. At the top left stood 'not responding'. I have watched many vids on how to fix it but none of them worked. I have tried the gpu acceleration on off. I have tried to make a video proxy but he stopped at a certain percent from downloading the proxy. I also tried to change the affinity by not vinking one of the processors. So im out of solutions. It would be great to see a response as fast as possible. Thank you in advance!! At least update to the last build of Vegas Pro 13. The link for the Magix rebranded one here, sections 3, 4, and 5. Section 6 (not 4) there has the link for the last Sony Vegas Pro build 453, which many of us prefer, but "download [from there] at your own risk" as it says.

Keep in mind that you are editing 4K footage and that your PC is actually outside the spec for doing so. Also, your 4K footage is progressive and your project settings are interlaced, change the project settings to progressive, uncheck the adjust source media, disable re-sampling in all events in the timeline. GoPro footage is tough in the system and yours may well be overheating. Try to covert it to XAVC-I using Sony’s Catalyst Browse.
