Vegas Pro 16 Error -45 "Missing License"

Bob-Killough wrote on 4/5/2020, 9:34 AM

I am getting this error that indicates I do not have a license, which is not accurate as confirmed in my online account/profile. I have not used Vegas in a few months and now am getting the error. I do not want to re-install it and loose customizations. Q1: Is there a way to re-register/re-license or edit the installation.ini file to overcome this situation without a re-install? Q2: If I re-install should I do a "hard remove/uninstall" before I re-install?

Windows 10 64-bit

in your account, how many activated devices do you have? You can only have the software activated on two devices?

Hi, I only have two activated. Actually one is a laptop that just crashed and I am replacing it. I think I will deactivate the laptop for now...but I do not expect that to fix anything....really am trying not to have to re-install on my home server where I used Vegas the most.

Try uninstalling, download the installer again from a MAGIX server and reinstall the application. It sounds like some components are missing.
