Vegas Pro 17 asking for product activation every time I run it

I have found Vegas Pro 17 on Windows 10 to be prone to causing severe PC crashes (blue screen). After one of these crashes last week, when I next tried to run Vegas, it would not run, so I had to uninstall the program and re-install it. After this uninstall and reinstall process, now the program is asking me to activate my registration every single time I run the program.

Does anybody have any solution to this?

See if the solution here helps.

Hi, thank you, yes that seems to have done the trick. I uninstalled, deleted the folder ProgramData\Vegas Pro and reinstalled. I then had to register/activate the software one time and now it seems to be OK.

However, now I have another problem. The "Explorer" window within Vegas seems 'broken'. It displays no files and no way to browse/navigate to any folder. I've tried to change the view mode, refresh, change to 'details', 'list' etc., nothing seems to help. I can't see any files or folders in the Explorer view. Any tip here?

I'm uploading a screenshot.

The non-display is not all that different to this recent post:

... to which there is no resolution / fix thus far. In this particular case, all the windows like Video FX and transitions were blank.

@Bjorn-Lynne you need to open a new post for your different issue. It may not be found here.
