I currently us Pro v16
Looking to upgrade to v17, can't work out path.
Is Vegas Pro 17 Suite the same as Vegas Post?
If it is, why does it have two names and, whats the difference between the two. I can't seem to find what is actually contained in Post.
If it isn't why doesn't Post appear in comparison table.

It does show the difference between Post and 365.
As the OP points out, POST does not appear in the comparison table. Gary's comment on what you get is linked above.
Guys, that has cleared up one of my points, there are two products.
So, am I to understand that Post is v17 with two effects packages (produced by Magix) and bundled together.
Pro 17 Suite is v17 with bundled Boris effects packages.
I use Vegas to produce videos which involve a lot of keying work, in fact most of my productions are all keyed. I want to upgrade to V17 and want the best Keying software, so, I've had a look at Pro 17 Suite and a detailed look at the Boris Key package and that seems very good. I notice in the sales info, there is also a keying option in Post. In order to make a decision I need to know more information (spec or video) on exactly what it does.
Have made over 500 videos with Vegas and want to stick with it.

Thank you for your links and help. I have one more question. when I upgraded to v16 the NewBlue Elements 3 Ultimate was included in the package. If I upgrade to v17 will the NewBlue package still work with the new version?
@Doug-Wilson it was a bundled extra in the later VP 16 upgrade offers and is not included in my version. Someone else needs to chime in on this. Testing with a trial might reveal? ( @jetdv ?)
@Doug-Wilson most likely it won't work with 17. The way the extras are bundled and licensed results in them not working with any other version.
My NewBlue_VEGAS_Movie_Studio_14_Suite_Complete_1_0_0_0 included in VMS 14 show all up in my VPro 17 and only 2 FX's are not activated for that program. Cannot say anything about NewBlue Elements 3 Ultimate included in VPro 16.
Elements 3 Ultimate will work in later versions of Vegas. It is a full retail package with a full retail serial number.
The Movie Studio 14 bundle will only work in Movie Studio 14. The Vegas Pro 14 bundle will only work in Vegas Pro 14.
Hello, I've downloaded and installed the trial version of Vegas 17 Post together with Effects & Image packages. The Effects & Image packages work stand alone, how do I access them from within Vegas?
