Which version of Sony Vegas Pro (the last one was #13)? Which source did you download from?

I have still no idea how to fix it. I install everything but then its like it doesn't even exist on my computer.

EricLNZ wrote on 10/24/2020, 10:52 PM

But as @vkmast asked - which version number and where did you download it from?

wjauch wrote on 10/25/2020, 9:42 AM

Could it be that just the Vegas icon is not showing on your desktop? What happens if you type Vegas in the windows search box?

rraud wrote on 10/25/2020, 10:41 AM

VP's main application folder with the 'Program Files' if it ain't, it was not installed, The <.exe> launch file is in that folder which can be sent to the desktop as a shortcut.

I do not know what version exactly I download it as normal like im doing it for the first time however when I download and install it nothing shows up. I have tried using the search bar on Windows and it does not show up. It also does not appear on my home screen I am not sure what is causing this something is wrong I just don't know what that is.

The version number is given in the name of the installer .exe file. And your sales receipt will itemise what was purchased.

And as already asked twice, where did you download Vegas Pro from?

Assuming you purchased your VEGAS Pro 18 Edit (not "Sony") from the VEGAS Online Shop at the website, didn't your order confirmation email from MAGIX have the download link?

Jackson-Lomas wrote on 10/26/2020, 3:12 PM

Yes it did when I got the email it came with a download file which was the installer when I installed it nothing showed up on my computer when I try and reinstall it the installer tells me that it is on my computer already which it isn't

vkmast wrote on 10/26/2020, 3:45 PM

Would something in this thread help? Or here?

Jackson-Lomas wrote on 10/27/2020, 10:33 PM

Whats weird is I was never asked that question for an email or number to install it all I needed was to click install

rraud wrote on 10/28/2020, 9:56 AM

The serial number and email info dialog is after installation, when VP is launched tor the first time..

Mark-Cabrera wrote on 8/21/2023, 12:52 AM

Im having the same issue with sony vegas 18 its not showing up anywhere on my computer Ive searched on on the windows search bar and in my files and nothing

RogerS wrote on 8/21/2023, 1:46 AM

Not sure why this is in the audio forum but you can download the final build of 18 here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-where-can-i-download-vegas-pro-and-other-vegas-software--104782/

and just install it normally and register it with your serial number. It'll show up in add or remove programs and in the start menu.

vkmast wrote on 8/21/2023, 2:59 AM

@Mark-Cabrera side note: you don't have a "sony vegas 18".
