Vegas Pro Suite 12 and my email account was with sony vegas

I have Vegas Pro Suite 12 and my email account was with sony vegas, since Magix purchased sony software everything is unclear and sony vegas web page is no longer functioning. If I upgrade to sony pro 15 suite then how will magix know it is an upgrade and how is the upgrade verified? Also magix wants me to log in with a magix account  How will this tie in with my sony vegas login?
None of the previous sony vegas download software pages that contained my purchased previously software are available anymore! No email for correspondence is provided by magix on their sony software pages, just the phone number in the US but I'm in Australia! Upgrading and retrieval of previously purchased sony software was easy with sony now with Magix its not so easy to retrieve once purchased software, upgrade or to communicate.

According to this page, all you need is your product's current serial number for the upgrade.

More essential advice regarding your MAGIX Account and MAGIX Download Center to be found in Grandmaster Nick's relevant FAQ. See e.g. points 3, 4 and 6. As the last paragraph of point 6 says, (for me if I log in there) serial numbers are still available at https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/myaccount/mysoftware (YMMV). And see if this still works (para 2)
