vkmast: Thank you for pointing out the obvious to me. Now that I've used it, I've found the following problems with it:
As you can see from the attached .mp4, the capture is not functioning correctly. I've also attached a screen grab of the what I see when I run the utility.
It seems my GPU does not meet the new minimum requirement, which is GeForce 9XX series or higher. Can anybody recommend what I should look for in a graphics card for Vegas? Is it the same reqs as for a gaming graphics card? Vegas has a minimum, but what would be a "medium" amount of memory?
I've upgraded my video card to a Radeon RX580 Series, which exceeds the minimum requirements. When I use the Capture Utility now, it saves 0 byte files, and the screen now looks like the following:
I use on my laptop from signature a Nvidia GTX 1050 and the program does what it should do in VMS Pl 17. I don't use it yet because I would like some more possibilities, but this is how it goes

I have RX470 here too for my desktop and got similar problem... blank screen display... the screen capture utility not working well in Radeon for now.
Of course. And that is documented where? Must be the same place it says the Upload to Facebook function doesn't work and hasn't since my initial purchase of version 13.
I have Movie Studio 17.0 Platinum and I have successfully used Vegas Capture on my laptop but now as soon as I press the record button the window goes grey. I did notice it is creating empty folders in the destination folder I chose. I have rebooted with no luck....
I've tried using the Vegas Capture module in Movie Studio 17 Platinum with and without GPU enabled and all I get is the sound, not the video. I get the video pane in the capture module, but it's blank.
