This guy: http://vegasaur.com/

why do you ask? He is on the forum at all times!

I am familiar with most of the guys who have written Commercial Vegas Scripts but do not know who authored the Vegasaur scripts. I happen to think they are very good and would like to know.

Try altvaric on these forums.

Jay this is a very useful practical set of scripts. use them every day can’t work without them.
If altervic reads this it would be awesome if we can get a script that can slice and dice clips to a pattern set for frames example 5,5,5 or 5,2,5,2 etc.

I also use Vegasaur and have found it to be quite useful. Altvaric has also been very responsive to issues and suggestions. Good value for the money.

Same experience here...I needed/wanted to have closed captions show up in a nested project and the next version of Vegasaur that came out made it possible.

For my business, adding that one feature to Vegasaur was worth the price alone.

And the chellspecker doesn't catch them.

Oh yes FrigidNDEiting I should have added to be able to delete those selections or alternate selections then close track gaps as already in Vegasaur
altarvic wrote on 12/9/2012, 10:58 PM
Hi Rory,

you can already slice the events at the specified frame intervals (like 5,2 or 3,5,2 etc.).
"Delete every N-th event" option will be added in the next update. (right now you can do it by selecting events and hitting Del button. I suggest you to create the desired preset and then use Quick Select one click command)

@Jay: I replied to you by email.

Shot altarvic thanks for the heads up

Doing some exercises on the selecting events option

Also Thanks for the last update your scripts are very handy and efficient.
jetdv wrote on 12/10/2012, 3:40 PM
Rory, Excalibur has been able to do that for years. Just look at at the strobe light option.

Hey Edward thanks for the heads up

I forgot about that, I have used Excalibur for punching in sequences on the time line before.
Rory Cooper wrote on 12/12/2012, 2:57 AM
altarvic the slice events worked like a dream as well as select events but I could not delete selected sliced events so I selected + moved to unwanted events to upper track then deleted track

I was also wondering if I splice an event to specific frames 5,15 select unwanted frames and delete as already done but now I have a set of markers 1 -15
Is there a way of selecting the events left over and place events at markers on selected track?
altarvic wrote on 12/12/2012, 4:49 AM
Yes. Use Placement tab in Quick Properties tool. Take a look at the screenshot
