Verifying that Vegas 365 won't update automatically

DanJeremy-Brooks wrote on 6/5/2023, 12:11 AM

Hello, I was just curious if anyone here knows how I can deactivate my subscription to Vegas Post 365. I've followed the steps by logging into my account, going to "My Products", then clicking "Vegas Post 365", then clicking "Show More Details". But when I get to that point, it says:

"The following activations with this serial number are in use:
1: Not in use
This space has not yet been used for product activation."

I just want to be certain that I don't get charged for another year of this product, & I want to be certain. Is there anything I can do to verify that? Thanks in advance for any help you all can give me.

@DanJeremy-Brooks

Clicking the circled "i" at the website's Online Shop you'll see this statement (re "annual 365 subscription"):

"Subscription and cancellation conditions: VEGAS Pro 365 will be available immediately after payment and activation. The charge for the minimum term is payable as a single sum upon conclusion of the contract. The minimum term begins on the date of purchase. The contractual period of VEGAS Pro 365 will be automatically extended by 12 months at a time until you cancel the agreement You will be informed well in advance if the extension rate or taxes included change. A cancellation is possible up to 1 month before the end of the contract period. To cancel the contract, please send an email stating your customer [or order] number to: infoservice@magix.net"

Check also your MAGIX account > My contracts to see if there is an option there to cancel.

Thank you so much, vkmast! I was able to cancel it directly through the "My Contracts" section, just like you said. I'm so glad to have this figured out for my peace of mind. Thank you once again for all your help!

There has been a new Vegas update.

Two questions:

1. Does it have a new build number? After updating I see nothing new there.

2. How can I get rid of the new update popup? I have downloaded and installed the new update (though how can I tell for sure without a new build number?) I had to deal with this nuisance occurrence before and have forgotten where I finally learned how to do it.

Yes, the build is 411. Once it installs it will stop prompting you to update. If it downloads and fails, just download it from the forum instead and be done with it.

Closing this thread as it was solved and then went a bit OT.
