If I buy a car and I like the car and I drive it for many years and the manufacturers warranty expires, does the manufacturer have the right to disable my car and send a message directing you to the nearest dealership to buy a new car?
Sorry for the analogy but that's exactly what Magix is doing to me.
I'm a registered OWNER of this software and it has worked beautifully for many years. Now when I open the program it disables the program and sends an error message and directs me to the Magix website to buy an upgrade. I'm not ever going to buy anything from anybody who steels my software. I'm not asking for support on a legacy product, instead I'm demanding that Magix gives me the use of the software back!. I received a link to download the "so called" upgrade but when I try to install it, the message says "I have a NEWER version currently on my system and I must uninstall the newer version first". They sent me build 896. I own build 1184. All I want is for Magix to stay out of my computer and give me back the use of my program.
