VERSION 16

I have been using Vegas since Version 5 - nearly 15 years or so. I upgrade every other version. Over that time period I have had very few problems and been using Ver 13 for a few years. No problems at all.

I upgraded to Ver. 16 to get into 4K editing. I have not been able to complete a project since installing it. The same projects (these are not even 4K - I am doing some 1080P projects) on the same machine render fine with Ver. 13.

I've contact Magix via email and I am happy to say they have agreed to a refund. My original post was written in great frustration and was not an unbaised account of the issue. I apologize for that. I am sure MAGIX engineers are working hard and in good faith to iron out any problems and I look forward to returning to Vegas in a future iteration.

It's so discouraging. I'd like to get a refund. It looks like the only way to get a refund to call a US phone number between 12-4PM CST. Problem is I am in Dubai, U>A>E working with a client. I'd like to request a refund by email since those hours and calling the US to get my money back don't work for me.

Does anyone have an email address to contact Magix? I go to the support page and it's hoops and hurdles to contact the company - no simple contact info.

From version 5-13 aside from GPU acceleration there were no major changes. If you upgraded from Sony Vegas 13 Pro/Edit to Magix Vegas 16, there are major changes that may affect your hardware and it may need some tweaking depending on the source material. Check out the troubleshooting thread for possible solutions to your problem.

Proud owner of Sony Vegas Pro 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13 and now Magix VP15&16.
