If you search here, you'll see this has been an issue with the old plugins for quite some time - on some machines. Possible solutions include changing the screen zoom percentage, downloading and installing a specific font, etc...

Sometimes that happens when their is an important system font missing or got deleted. No need to uninstall or reinstall Vegas....... Done any uninstallation or alteration to your system recently where fonts are concerned?

Thanks Steve_Rhoden. As far as I can remember, this started when I tried to install a later Vegas 18, but my machine can't handle the requirements. so I opted to use my older Vegas Pro 10, then I noticed this mess :)
