I think most of us who face this issue have already searched the internet, which is full of "FX Bypass" threads.

That's not the issue. FX Bypass is not on.

It's broken like this in multiple past versions of Vegas and Movie Studio, as well.

I'm just about done with this software. This is a 100% reproducible issue. It should be fixed by now. It's still broken in 15 (tried a trial, and it was broke right out of the box - no FX bypass on), and is definitely broken in my Movie Studio 14 and Pro 14.

I've tried on multiple machines, as well.

The only time this works is if I don't select the GTX GPU for Acceleration in Preferences -> Video.

If I switch to Off or the Intel iGPU and reboot, it will start to function properly - with the same project and all the same settings otherwise (and having not touched the FX Bypass).

It also doesn't matter which GPU I start the VEGAS application on. I've tried every possible combination. It breaks every time I set the GTX GPU for Acceleration. That is the problem, not FX Bypass.

See part 2

...was not even referring to "FX Bypass.

And "searching the internet" for threads is a bad idea. THIS is the place for sensible answers. @Trensharo is on a bit of a tear this morning.
