VMS 17 Platinum Corrupted Transitions/VFX Tabs on ASUS ROG Motherboard

SpaceCliffie wrote on 12/5/2020, 2:28 AM

I just installed Movie Studio 17 Platinum. Version 16 is still installed. I also installed NewBlue Stylizers 5 Imagine. However, when clicking around and looking at the Transitions and Video FX tabs, I start seeing corruption. If I keep clicking around eventually the UI appears to mostly lock up, but Vegas doesn't completely crash (but I have to Alt-F4 to end the program).

I tried searching for this in the forum but didn't see other posts. Never saw this behavior in V16.

I uninstalled and re-installed Stylizers 5 and VSM17, rebooted, updated graphics drivers (Nvidia GTX 950). Are others having this issue?

Thank you! I would never have guessed, holy cow. I uninstalled Sonic Radar and Sonic Studio (which I don't use anyway) and everything seems ok right now.

For those that have this issue, here is the jump to the end of a lengthy forum post that has the history on this issue. Basically, it's specific to software that comes with ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) motherboards.
