Where this MP4 clips came from ?

From a couple from Sony Camera, and a couple were recorded by Xsplit during a live streaming. All behave OK on Vegas v15, but the only recorded by Xsplit during Live streaming, have audio messed up, while same behave OK in Vegas 14, and plays OK with VLC, also OK with Davinci Resolve. So it sounds like Vegas v15 issue.

OK, here is one sample. It was recorded while Live streaming through Xsplit Broadcaster. Its audio plays OK in VP v14 and Resolve, but messed up in VP v15. Click on the following link to download from the dropbox. File will be deleted from dropbox after 3 days, so please do ASAP.

This appears to be a bug with the new so4compoundplug.dll decoder. Here's how you can disable it until the bug is fixed:

1. Hold down the SHIFT key while opening Options > Preferences
2. Click the Internal tab
3. In the field "Show only pref containing:" file type "So4" without the quotes
4. Set "Enable So4 Compound Reader for AVC/M2TS" to FALSE.
5. OK > Restart
    

Bear in mind that this may break some of the new support such as 10-bit 422 GH5 files, so don't forget that you've set this!

Should thanks XSplit Broadcaster for creating extremely compressed files :-) We record a lot of Facebook Live and YouTube broadcasts while broadcasting through XSplit. The 20-30 minutes videos are always between 70-80 MB :-) Maybe Vegas should look into Xsplit on how they create extremely compressed files.

No. For now those are still handled by compoundplug.dll. I understand the new so4compoundplug.dll at the moment is restricted to AVC/MP4s.

I can't believe it. You don't know me, and I don't know you, nor do I know if you're ever going to see this message, but I'm in tears right now because of your solution. I can't thank you enough!!! Trust me when I say this, I have had SOO MANY Vegas problems in the past, going back a few years. And some of the problems I've had in the past have been sooo bizarre, that it's incredibly difficult to even type it into a search bar or describe my problems, let alone find an actual solution, not just Vegas, but computer problems in general. I'll try to describe this best I can, my problem here wasn't just the audio 'not in sync' with the video when the clips are dragged in, but also the beginning, yes, the beginning only, would be sped up until a random point in the clip when it would level out. And a 3rd problem, suddenly, the 1st half of all my video clips would have the video playing, but the 2nd half was just a black screen out of nowhere with the audio still playing, (and of course, not in sync at the end). Your solution didn't just fix one, but ALL THREE of these extremely crazy out-of-nowhere problems. I have never found an actual GOOD Vegas problem solution on the Internet for any of my weird problems before finding your post, and I can't thank you enough!! You saved weeks worth of work on my video project, and perhaps saved my whole project all together! THANK YOU
