VP15 Edit void my DVD Architect Studio 5

I've been using Sony and now MAGIX Movie Studio Platinum 14, which includes DVD Architect Studio 5.0. If I were to upgrade to VP 15 Edit, would my DVD Architect Studio 5.0 cease to work? I've been burned in the past when using included add--ins, only to find out later they were only included as demos, and watermarked some elements or ceased to work altogether. I've become very apprehensive about these upgrades.

DVD Architect Studio is a stand alone programme so can be used for any disc authoring. So it certainly won't cease to work. But you may not be able to automatically pass rendered files to DVDA if you have been doing so.

Incidentally MSP14 now comes with DVDA7, the latest version. DVDA Studio appears to have been dropped.

I upgraded from MS platinum 13 to MS platinum 14. I did this several months ago. Just yesterday, I went to burn a DVD. Now it is saying that DVD Architect is not installed. Even though I still have DVDA 5.0 still on my PC. In any event, I went to download the newest version of DVDA and now it is asking for an activation key. If DVD Architect is part of the Platinum package. Why is it asking for an activation key?

@dub-dizl MS 14 Platinum package does include VEGAS DVD Architect, sometimes called DVD Architect 7, but it is not the same as your (Sony) DVD Architect Studio 5.0. You should have received the necessary serial number for the "new" DVD Architect with your order. Check your order confirmation email / physical package or your MAGIX Account.

For your DVD A Studio 5, read EricLNZ's comment as well. And as he says, MS 14 P does not include DVD AS 5.
