[VP16] Custom Settings dialog for MAGIX AVC/AAC MPG too big for screen

Vegas Pro 16 Build 261

I want to customize the MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4 template (via File/Render As...) but I cannot access the tabs or buttons at the bottom of the dialog box because it is too tall for my 1920 x 1080 display. Is there a known workaround? Here's a sreenshot:

Note that the Windows taskbar is hidden so that Vegas is using all the available desktop area.

To move a dialog using just the keyboard:

  • Hold down the ALT key.
  • Press SPACEBAR.
  • Press M (Move).
  • A 4-headed arrow will appear. When it does, use your arrow keys to move the outline of the window.
  • When you are happy with its position, press ENTER.


Or increase your display resolution. Looks like yours may be lower than the native 1920x1080. That render window is 780px tall at 1:1 on my display.

In my (other than US) KB I need to press Enter instead of M. It opens a menu with "Move" highlighted in the dialog and I am then able to see the 4-headed arrow.

Perfect - worked like a charm!

I have Windows 10 in high DPI mode because I'm using Vegas on my laptop (which is DPI aware - yay!)
