Weird corruption of view tab transitions, Media generator and video fx

Martin-Visser wrote on 6/8/2022, 6:33 AM

I have again the following problem. This happened also after I installed vegas 19 pro after buying it. An update did then solve the problem. Now after installing version 19.0.0.636 it is back again. After starting Vegas and switching between tabs Project Media, transitions, FX, etc. the views for the tabs Transitions, Media Generator and video FX are corrupted.

View/tab Transitions:

Mouse over items (FX) and then they come back:

What is wrong again in this version of Vegas and how to solve it?

Closing vegas does solve the problem, but it comes back after using save button, or switching tabs. I am still not sure what triggers it.

Spec:

Windows 10

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

GTX Geforce RTX 3060

64GB memory

The Nahimic problem strikes again. The following is the likely solution:

  • Stopping Nahimic in Task Manager/Processes is not enough as it starts running again on rebooting the computer. To properly disable Nahimic, R click NahimicService in Task Manager/Services (not Processes) and then select Open Services. A new window opens. R click Nahimic service and click on Properties in the window that opens. In the context box that opens, select Disabled in the Startup type field, then hit the Stop button, click Apply and then OK. All done. Nahimic now remains disabled on rebooting the computer.

Turn off or uninstall the "Nahimic" services on your system. Do a search on the forum for "Nahimic".

A couple of related threads here and here

I have changed the internal value for GPU acceleration for Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) panels to FALSE as suggested in the second link form vkmast. Because I use Sonic studio for audio settings. So I will try to keep the nahamic service, otherwise sonic studio does not work anymore. I will test it.

I have the same issue, but in vegas pro 21 built 208.

I also has Sonic studio, if I close Sonic Studio (audio control) then the tabs in vegas are alright, but I want to use this control panel.

If I changee the internal value for GPU acceleration for Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) panels to FALSE, hit allpy and I restart vegas pro, it sets back to TRUE, vegas simply ignores to save the setting set to false and I cannot eliminate this corrupted windows and tabs.

I wonder if this setting is not saving because VEGAS is crashing upon exit for some reason. Can you completely close the control panel, make the change in VEGAS internal settings and then close VEGAS and restart the system?
