OK, I'm using the Vegas Search tool. I want to search for framerates between 28 and 30. This is standing type of search. This works. However, Why am I also getting AUDIO files? Yes I can deselect non Audio, but what don't I understand? 😟
Probably because some of the features incl. Search options discussed here and requested e.g. by yourself have not been implemented. There has not been active development of the community software for some time now.

@vkmast - Lol! My apologies. I’m talking about the SEARCH function within the Project Media Pane of my VP Project.
I believe I can answer your question. Your framerate search yields audio files because audio has a framerate as shown here by "MediaInfo". But I agree with you, I don't understand why framerate meta data is embedded in the audio file.
It is also interesting and puzzling why the video portion of my example file shows a video framerate of 29.97 (not shown) but the audio portion has a framerate of 46.875.
In summary, I think the question to ask is why does audio have a framerate?
