My remembrances of Sound Forge and Vegas were in the old days that after installing these applications everything that you clicked worked to perfection. And you had Douglas Spotted Eagle to boot for advice.

I just need some technical support on acid works and this is where the link sent me. Can you help me?

EricLNZ schrieb am 05.11.2023 um 08:55 Uhr

@Jeremy-Malone I don't know what link sent you here but the Acid forum is part of the Magix Community forum and found at https://www.magix.info/us/audio-forum/acid/

vkmast schrieb am 05.11.2023 um 09:30 Uhr

@Jeremy-Malone was already properly advised in his own thread on this topic here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/technical-support--143289/#ca896087

If he did not scroll down to the end of the 2nd link in that comment to find "Contact Support" he may not have noticed this link https://www.magix.info/us/support/options/ . He'll find there the two recommended options

1. the one given also by @EricLNZ and @Dexcon (magix.info user community)

2. "Contact (MAGIX tech) Support"

EricLNZ schrieb am 05.11.2023 um 09:53 Uhr

Neither of the links in Jeremy's own thread led him to this thread and Dexcon gave him the correct link for the Acid forum so why Jeremy is going around in circles is puzzling.

agreed... i always show respect to everyone here.. these guys are much experienced than me...

just wanna ask one thing.. i am facing problems from VEGAS most of time very few time its a bug and most of time it is my own lake of guidance or own driver or system problem..

and i work on VEGAS 12 hours in 24 hours.

so i post a thread as i get any problem in VEGAS...... to get help...

so just wanna ask, is there any rule in community that one member can not post more than a specific number of threads? bcoz sometimes i feel ignored.

@iEmby I'm not aware of such a Community rule. What do you mean by feeling ignored? Do you feel that your posts (or comments) are not published or that you are not receiving (enough) responses?

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/community-rules/ (#4 does not apply to vegascreativesoftware.info).

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/terms-and-conditions/

EricLNZ schrieb am 21.07.2024 um 05:15 Uhr

@iEmby I've noticed that many of your recent posts relate to scripting. I suspect that only a few Vegas users get involved in writing their own scripts. Consequently there aren't many users that have scripting knowledge who can respond to your scripting posts. Please don't feel discouraged.

iEmby schrieb am 23.07.2024 um 12:44 Uhr

@EricLNZ its not about scripting sir... i always get responses about scripting even it is late..

But sometimes like this

@vkmast

Just look at this thread and note, how old is this..

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/subtitles-by-speech-to-text-is-not-working-as-expected--146059/

this is not responded yet.

and this thread

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/speech-to-text-not-working-just-ordered-the-new-vegas-20--146511/

similar posted later get response.

why???

i know this bug may be already known by developers or other volunteer Community members.

but how a guy, who faced it first time in his software and he didn't read all threads, got noticed that it already exists or it has been noticed by community or developers.

even i had searched before posting it, no thread was there related to this....

so sometime this type of zero response on any thread gives an ignored feeling.

---------------------------

so here is a little suggestion ...

if something posted is already get noted by developers or already existed. just give it a sign like add a new button here.

which can show user that your post is seen or get noted...

if someone is not wanna write on their...

this will give at least a hope to that user.

"Sometimes it can happen that your comments or questions remain unanswered." (From Community Rule #2.3.)

In these cases some users have made a "Bump" comment to draw attention to their issue as you also seem to have in a way done in the 2nd thread that you linked above.

The admins of this forum have chosen to include here the number of Replies and Thank Yous, but not the Views Count. Including this might help to alleviate the ignored feeling (or increase it ...).

Anyway, I assure you your contributions are getting noted. (I just checked a recent thread from another Vegas related forum: 0 replies, 39 views)

All posts get read, usually by several members. Whether or not they are responded to is nothing to take even a little bit personally; the number of responses a post gets is an indication only of its relevance, interest, and coherence to other users, not indifference. So many things that one can point out are completely true, but trivial to others' workflow and experience. Only the most obnoxious of complainers actually get ghosted by readers.

Rather than judging oneself by the number or timeliness of responses, the best thing for new or sensitive users of social media (which this forum now is), is to concentrate on patience, developing a thicker skin to the 50% who will never understand your situation, and to trying to keep a sense of humor and a perspective of your role in the bigger drama. Educators call that metacognition. We all tend to think our observations should more important or better understood to others; it is part of the Dunning-Krueger Effect, which often starts about age 11, and can persist throughout one's lifetime.

It is from a mature overview, global understanding and self referral that all professionals are born. Being able to think on the z-axis doesn't hurt.
