"A nested project source media file was not found" error

While loading a project in Sony Vegas 13 I run into the same issue everytime. "A nested project source media file was not found" I have tried a multitude of solutions, but none have offered me my project. Here are some supposed solutions I have taken a virtual stab at:

-Lighting bolt in project media

-moving all file onto a seperate drive

-ReInstalling Vegas

-Clearing the cache

-Running a chkdsk

Any help would be gretly appreciated

Do a test by setting up a new veg and introduce a new nested veg. Close all and try and restart.

I attempted what you suggested, and the same error pops up upon restart

Then, I hazard a guess, you've got something more fundamental going on. Try a Factory Reset.

(Why is this Forum now changed to German?)

(Maybe an early-stage bug. Click the flag/country in the lower rh corner to change.)

Open your nested project(s) and make sure all the assets are available. Clear any unnecessary assets from the nested project(s) using the lighning bolt and save. You can't resolve missing asset problems in nested project while in the master project.

I have had an issue like this when I open a project from a network machine and the nested project(s) are local. I finally decided it was more trouble than it was worth. Now, when I nest something I run it locally.
