Which version of the program are you using on what operating system?

Are you able to save Prepared Files rather than burning directly to a disc?

Hi Steve, sorry about the late reply. I am in the middle of chemo and have had a couple of bad days! I am on windows 10 and can burn prepared files to the hard drives on my system. I have opened the program in administrator mode but it or windows will not let me access the dvd drives. I am also having this issue with filmore 9, wondershare dvd creator, davincie resolve also. I therefore think it is a windows issue(?) I cannot seem to get any help from microsoft so hope that someone much more experienced than me can help. I am new to this software but it seems to offer everythjing I need to create menu driven dvd's. I appreciate any input you make have.

Regards

Peter

You're right. Indications are that the there's a problem with the driver or firmware for your DVD burner.

First, ensure that you're using the right type of discs. Most drives today can burn DVD+R and DVD-R, but ensure that you are using the right type of DVD for your drive. (Also note that some drives can PLAY both types of DVD but can burn only one type.)

If that doesn't fix it, go to your computer manufacturer's site (Dell, HP, ASUS). Look up your model of computer and download and install the original drivers for your DVD burner.

If that doesn't fix it, we can use Windows to burn the prepared files to a disc, so you're not completely stuck. But if several pieces of software are having problems accessing the drive, it's a driver issue and it should be a fairly easy fix.

In addition to what Steve advises, you might check if this option has any effect. And I don't know if having only the trial version has something to do with this.

I tried legacy drives but to no avail.
