I recently had to reinstall Movie Studio Platinum 17 and now it can't import mp3 files.
I'm not suffering any copy protection issues, the option simply does not show under the menu for file type, and no mp3 files show up in the window.
Try reset your VMSpt 17 (hold ctrl+shift while starting the application)

Yeah all that does is open the program as normal. Holding and double clicking, continuing to hold, repeatedly pressing, they do literally nothing. I literally just uninstalled, restarted computer, reinstalled, restarted computer (cause you never know) and the problem still persists. All my settings were at the default, literally nothing has changed, but on a previous pc where I was allowed to use MP3's, now I suddenly can't.
@christopher-s Do you not get the option to clear the cache on resetting? That is important.
Nope, it fires up the program as normal, as though I wasn't even holding anything
UPDATE: Restarted computer a thrid time.
Now it suddenly works.
