codec for mov file

I got a new computer about a year ago, on my old computer I was able to import mov files into Vegas. There must be a codec or something I need on my new computer. Any recomendations? (I do have quick time installed, and it will of course play the files)

Which version of VP do you have?

You can try quicktime lite.

Who DOESN'T have to do that? How do you bring in MOV files if Vegas no longer natively recognizes them?

No need with mov h 264 files or ProRes. What type of mov file are you working with?
