Credit Roll dialog box is wrong size

Dave-Robinson wrote on 9/2/2020, 4:42 PM

When trying to use the Credit Roll Media Generator tool, then dialog box is wrongly sized truncating many of the fields and making it useless. I've tried restarting Vegas Pro 17, checked for updates, open a blank project and even restarted Windows10. All to no avail.

Very frustrating as cannot edit the font/colour etc. of the credits. Pointers to solve the problem most appreciated

See if your problem is similar to what's discussed here (and the threads linked).

vkmast - thanks for your quick response and for these links.

I've factory reset Vegas 17 several times as well as rebooting Win10. I've also tried other Vegas Generated Media tools. In all cases except for the VEGAS Credit Roll, double clicking on the title bar of the dialog pop-up, the window is correctly sized. For VEGAS Credit Roll, then dialog window is sized too small. Below is a screen capture after previously opening another Generated Media and pulling the dialog wider.

Double clicking on the dialog title bar returns the window to too small as shown below

Looks like Vegas has an incorrect size of the minimum window needed for Credit Roll. It is right for the other Generated Media.

Is this a known bug or is there some magic to fix.

DrDave

If the "font suggestions" mentioned in the linked threads or playing with DPI settings did not help, you probably need to try and Ask Support.

vkmast: Thanks - I came to the same conclusion and raised a Ask Support ticket this morning. :-)

Has anybody found a solution to this problem?

I cannot reproduce this issue in my VP17 (on W7 laptop).

Some users have found different working solutions. You need to click "here" in my first comment in this thread. You'll find different threads discussing the problem by following the links given by yours truly. Maybe one of those will help in your case.

And probably a similarish issue last discussed here.
