Hello, when I play the video through the player Windows sound is great, but when I transfer the video to the program sound is not pleasant, not clean, with some echo
Make sure there are no track (or event) audio plug-ins applied. Don't know about the recent VP versions, but an awful sounding compressor, gate and something else were applied to each track by default. Why SCS did this makes little sense. Fortunately the FX defaults can be eliminated or changed easily. Though on my x86 PC w/ VP-9, it had to be done in an advanced (hidden) menu.
As was stated, the 'Media info' utility will display most video and/or audio files' technical information.

Those 3 FX (Track Noise Gate, Track EQ, and Track Compressor) are still applied by default in VP16. We were told again recently somewhere that they don't affect the signal, so they are *probably* not the cause of maxim338-d's problem, but I also would prefer them not to be there by default, and I set it up that way with each new version. Procedure:
Add empty audio track > Remove the 3 FX > Right click on the track header > Set Default Track Properties > Make sure Track FX is checked > OK
