exception when opening file

Everytime I open a project (several actually) I get the error "an error occurred during the current operation, an exception has occurred" and gives several memory addresses and a reference to stl2plg.dll. This happens as soon as DVD Architect is opened and the program bombs. Windows 10Pro w/ Nvidia video card (drivers up to date). Thanks for any assistance.
