Getting video from my DVD

I made some home videos a while back and after putting everything on DVD I deleted the video and all music, sound effects, etc.,off my hard drive. But now I want to put those videos back in Vegas Movie Studio 17 so I can do some editing, I can't figure out how to do this.

See if this does what you want. Go to the Project Media tab, Add Media... > Import DVD Camcorder Disc...

Not sure if the "Gary James method" still would work.

When I click on media tab I don't have the ,Import DVD Camcorder Disc, option. I have attached an image of what I get when I click on Media Tab.

If I click on my D drive and then Video TS , there is nothing further to click on.

I tried the Gary James Method but just got an error message.

I have also included an image of what I get when I click on, Project>.

@Brice You need to be in the 'Project Media' tab. Click the drop down arrow next to 'Add Media' and select 'Import DVD Camcorder Disc'. Then browse for your DVD drive.

Okay, now I see what I what I was doing wrong. Thanks for your help!
