How can I start Movie Studio 17.0 without Bezier Masking active?

That search tool is amazing. I'm so glad to have it. And it found the file you identified (TrkVfxDefaults.prefs)

The file was where you first said... I guess I did not have all of the view controls set up right to see it.

I took a chance and deleted the file right out of the search results. AND IT WORKED...!

Movie Studio 17.0 Platinum no longer opens with the Bezier FX active. GREAT....!

I did notice that the P&P track still has the Bezier FX active but that won't bother me. It's odd that removing the TrkVfxDefaults file did not fix that. Maybe it is normal to be active on that track?

You are amazing...!

Many Thanks To YOU...!

I've tagged @FayFen's comment as Solution. An excellent find.

Btw, I think this is normal re PiP track.

Interesting. I don't have TrkVfxDefaults.prefs with either VMSP16 or 17. I wonder under what circumstances it gets created?

@Quin-Child The PIP track normally does not contain the Bezier FX, just the PIP FX.

@EricLNZ I don't have that either. (FayFen: "but you do not have the problem as well".) But maybe a user saved one?

But how or from where can it be saved?

@EricLNZ I don't know, maybe here?

@vkmast I've just tried that. The preset appears in your Used\Documents\OFX Presets folder.

So the mystery continues....

I see you want to fiddle a bit, I hoped quin will post his file but he deleted it.

here mine

* I have few ideas how it might got there as I do "fiddle" with my VMS16p from time to time, so it could be a result of that. I can't confirm as I just accepted the fact that it happen and always just deleted the PIP FX.

**Once it was getting more 'crazy' with the bezier fx it was a good time to investigate.
