How to get my timecode to show up again?

I have been working with Plug-in Chooser - Video Output FX Vegas Timecode for years now but cannot see it anymore. I know to enable it by clicking on the FX symbol in the Video Output's toolbar atop the video window but at some point my timecode stopped showing up on the video screen. I don't know how and when this happened because I seldom turn it off; I just like to keep the timecode visible all the time, yet it's gone. Any idea how to make it show up again? I assume it's something simple but I'm stumped.

@Paul-Fierlinger have you checked the status of the button mentioned in section 1 here?

SOLVED! vkmast, it was the split screen button and BTW, I had noticed that it had turned blue but never saw the connection. Thanks to both of you; it seems the better Vegas is becoming the better/faster the group's answers are flowing.
