Imported a MP4 video to Vegas and the audio is all disorted - fix?

Please do a forum Search (Find...) e.g. "distorted audio" to find related threads.(for VEGAS, please note that it's not "sony vegas")

Yeah, I have. That's the idea of me posting this post - having found no solution to the problem.

If any of the relevant forum searches re audio distortion don't seem to bring up helpful threads or any of the forum users cannot help here, try the official VEGAS Support (not the sony vegas one). (Ref. CR 2.3 and 2.4.)
